Biographical Sketch:
RESEARCH SCIENTIST/MANAGER Mr. Mays earned his M.S in physics from Wayne State University with research interests in battery science, computer modeling, and condensed matter and a B.S. in physics with a concentration in electrical engineering from Lawrence Technological University. Mr. Mays is one of the inventors of the Ovonic Renewable Hydrogen (ORH) technology. He has designed and developed most of processes and equipment that have been used to produce hydrogen with the Ovonic Renewable Hydrogen technology. Mr. Mays has the expertise in catalyst/material characterization, modeling of electrochemical systems, engineering design, instrumentation, and data acquisition having 15 years of experience in these areas. He has managed research and development of hydrogen production, nickel metal hydride batteries for consumer and electric/hybrid vehicle application, catalysts research, and development of fuel cells. Mr. Mays has 18 patents and 8 patent applications (6 of the applications are related to the reformation process). Additionally, he has authored and co-authored 28 publications.
